Raymond Langerot Obituary

Raymond Joseph Langerot Aug. 30, 1918 ~ Jan. 28, 2010 Resident of Antioch Ray arrived in Antioch in 1936 and started work at the US Steel Plant, from which he retired after 39 years. He played on the first baseball teams in town and also enjoyed playing the piano and organ. During his life his hobbies were dancing, golf, coaching little league, bowling, fishing, playing pinochle, baseball and softball. In recent years he enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center and dancing. He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Huckaby; son Steve "Spanky" Langerot; daughter Christi Richardson; granddaughter Trisha McEnry; and great-grandchildren Carli and Dawson McEnry. Also related to the Dupire and Prevost families. Friends and family are invited to Higgins Chapel for the viewing Friday, February 5 between 4-7:30pm with the Rosary to follow. Chapel or graveside service (weather permitting) will be Saturday, February 6 at 10am at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Vitas Hospice, 365 Lennon Ln#140, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
