Reuben Goehring

Reuben Goehring Mr. Reuben Goehring, 89, of Yountville, CA, formerly of Pleasant Hill, died August 22, 2003 at the California Veterans Home, Yountville. Mr. Goehring was a native of Tripp, SD, and served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army's 26th Infantry Division during World War II. He spent his career as a Teamster and manager of a dry cleaning plant, and was a resident of Pleasant Hill for more than 50 years. He was a member of VFW Post #3059 in Pleasant Hill and served as a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Martinez for 20 years. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Goehring was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma, in 1996. He is survived by his two sons, Basil Goehring of Potomac, Montana, and Rocky Goehring of Oakdale, CA; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27 at the Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, CA.
