Robert Tibbetts Obituary

Robert E. "Bob" Tibbetts Robert E. "Bob" Tibbetts, an 18-year resident of Westwood, CA and prior resident of Richmond, died Christmas Day at Kaiser in Oakland. He was 74. Mr. Tibbetts retired with Safeway after 35 years of service. He served our country in the US Marine Corps and enjoyed fishing, golfing, the outdoors and skin diving earlier in life. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Tibbetts; son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Mike" and Kathy Tibbetts; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Gus Burgos; brother, Lynn; sisters, Marge, Marilyn, Maureen and Linda; brother-in-law, Fred Kinney; grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, Joey, Stephanie and Justin; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, most recently his mother earlier this month. Funeral Service Thursday, December 29, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary with interment to follow at Sunset View Cemetery. MARY & THE TIBBETTS FAMILY



I WAS SORRY TO HEAR OF BOB'S PASSING. REMEMBER HIM WELL AND ALL THE TIMES HE & I WOULD TALK AT PARK & SHOP ON SOLANO AVE WHEN HE WOULD BE WAITING FOR MARY TO GET OFF. PLESE SAY HELLO TO MIKE FOR ME AND HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH HIM AND FAMILY.MARY I KNOW YOU WILL MISS BOB LIKE MANY OTHERS WILL,TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND I WILL BE THINKING OF YOU AND ALL THOSE YEARS WE WORKED TOGETHER AT PARK & SHOP MARKETS.
