Ronald Forrest Quigley, Sr.
October 28, 1936 - September 7, 2021
Resident of Martinez, CA
Ron was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA to Clifford and Florence Quigley.
He enlisted in the Air Force at age 17 and served for 9 years. During this time, Ron met and married Sarah Miles, and they had two cherished children, Ron Jr. and Christina. In 1973 Ron wound up in California, and had 27 successful years as an Allstate agent. He met his life partner Elaine on a blind date and they married one year later. They enjoyed RV travel and cruises, activities with their church and spending time with their children. Ron was a loving grandpa and great-grandpa to his children and Elaine's children, Lori and Cyndi. Collectively they had nine grandchildren, Clifford, Richard, Nicole, Rosie, Kathryn, Jennifer, Natalie, Nicole, and Brandy, and 13 great-grandchildren, Zeiah, Cory, Olivia, Zoe, Colton, Remi, Sarah, Dakota, Logan, Savanah, Austin, Riley, and Noah.
Ron is remembered fondly for his humor and love of family and friends. Alzheimer's robbed him of this for many years. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Martinez on September 25th at 1pm. Donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association
or Grace Episcopal Church. View the online memorial for Ronald Forrest Quigley, Sr.
