Rose Cinquini Obituary

Rose M. Cinquini Jan. 5, 1927 ~ Nov. 2, 2009 Resident of Oakley Rose passed from this earth unexpectedly November 2, 2009 at the age of 82 with her family surrounding her. Rose is survived by her husband of 62 years Enrico E. Cinquini; daughter Anna Lamothe of Antioch; daughter Ricci Ann Silva and son-in-law Bob Silva of Oakley; adoring grandson Andrew Lamothe who will miss his Nonnie dearly; sister Josephine Bacchini and brother-in-law Tino Bacchini of Brentwood; brother Louis Del Barba of Oakley; and brother Fred Del Barba and sister-in-law Shirley Del Barba of Oakley. Rose leaves behind treasured nieces and nephews and their spouses: Denise (Victor) Thornhill; Christina (David) Flores; Sheila (Ken) Hagan; Steven (Diane) Bacchini; Sandy (Gil) Castillo; Joe Del Barba; Tom (Missy) Del Barba; Pam (John) Palazzotto; Vicki (Jim) Mann; Cindy Del Barba; Julie Favalora; Dino Del Barba and extended family. A life-long resident of Oakley, Rose was a member of the pioneering Del Barba family. Her grandfather a native of Lucca, Italy settled in Oakley in 1907 and she grew up on the family acreage helping her grandparents and parents grow and harvest their crops along with her siblings. She was proud of her Italian heritage and could converse in Italian fluently. Rose graduated from Liberty Union High School in Brentwood in 1945 and enjoyed attending her class reunions. She married Enrico on August 3, 1947 and they had two daughters who were beneficiaries of her devotion. Rose's family and friends will miss her Italian cooking and baking and her generosity. Her kind and giving spirit enriched everyone who knew her. She was a tireless hard worker with boundless energy who would always listen and give sage advice. A loving and dedicated wife, she created and maintained a nurturing home for immediate and extended family. As a loving and understanding mother, she was her children's best friend and she adored her grandson Andrew. Her love for her husband was unconditional and everlasting. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and playing bingo with her bingo buddies. Rose was the heart of her family as well as a strong pillar of support. Her warm smile, natural beauty, and wise counsel will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her. She will be truly missed. Rose is preceded in death by her father Joseph Del Barba and mother Emma Del Barba of Oakley. A private funeral service is being planned. Like a sweet Rose in the weather, Gone to soon. My mom and I had the pleasure our mother-daughter get away last month. We will do that again in our heavenly Father house. I'll never forget Rose, a women with Integrity and had won life with her perseverance.
Anna, Stay strong Your Mom left you a Legacy. The loyalty your Mom taught us will help you through the rest of your life. God took her home for a special reason. Now its your turn, take care of your Dad and Sister. You have big shoes to fill. All my love, Sharon Reno
