Samuel Sallomi Obituary
1931-2018
Resident of El Sobrante
Sam, a native of Chicago, graduated from Northwestern University in 1956 where he received his medical degree. Following graduation he served in the U.S. Army.
Sam was employed with Kaiser Permanente Medical Group from 1966-1991. He helped establish the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and was Chief of the Department.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret (Mikie) Casarez Sallomi, his son, Paul and daughter-in-law, Cheryl and grandson, William, his daughter, Patricia, grandson, Galen and granddaughter, Megan. Sam leaves two brothers, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, great nephews and great nieces.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Celebration at Rockefeller Lodge, 2650 Market Ave., San Pablo on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm. At 3:00 pm the Memorial will be officiated by Father Nicholas Reina, former President & Director of Salesian High School.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to West Contra Costa Salesian Boys & Girls Club, 2801 Moran Ave., Richmond, CA 94804 or Soroptimist International of Richmond (SIR), P.O. Box 21175, Richmond, CA 94820.

Sam hired me to join kaiser 1980. Kaiser Oakland became the center for gyn Onc at that time. Sam was an enthusiastic chief and a good friend. Sorry to learn of his passing. My Condolences to Micky and his family.
