Respected, family business owner, Scott Whitney Nelson passed away in his sleep Sunday morning, January 22, 2017. He just made it to his 54th birthday January 21st. Many know him as the owner and senior technician of Mr. Appliance in Oakley CA. Born in Utah, and raised in Danville, he was the youngest of four children to Marvin and Beverly Nelson. He graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1981 and met Lisa Dambak in 1984 and they married in 1987. Scott began his career of appliance repair after high school, and proved his considerable talent of repairing appliances to the delight of his customers all over the Bay Area. Scott was known for his skill at barbecue; family and friends often enjoyed the fruits of his labors. He is survived by Lisa and their two daughters, Sara and Whitney, as well as his siblings, Jeffery Nelson, Vickie Wilson, and Andrea Tiedemann. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
A memorial service will be held on February 14, 2017, at 11:00 am, at The LDS Church, 1432 Laurel Road, Oakley, CA.

Dear Lisa,
I would like to offer my sincere condolences to you. Only recently did I learn of Scott's passing,
He was a terrific guy.... nice, funny, and extremely competent. He bailed me out, big time, over the years with my appliances. I saw him enough times to consider him a friend, though Debbie was the one last at my house.
I am truly sorry for your loss; it is a loss to all who knew him.

To Scott and family I've never used your services thankfully you have use my services of my small business I've been to Your residence and met your wife and daughters I did some Lock work repair at your residence
I just at this moment was reaching out to use your services and discovered I just want to say to you and your family but I can tell you were close and love each other and that's what matters and as the other individuals mentioned you are a hard worker great human being
