Steva Kinyon

Steva Willean Kinyon Longtime Richmond Resident On September 18, 2009, our family lost our 91 year old mom. Mom was born in Bowmon, North Dakota on July 21, 1918. She was so tiny that she fit into the palm of her dad's hand. Her mother was too ill to care for her, so her dad put her in a shoe box in the dresser drawer. He cared for her so well she lived to be 91 years old. Mom was a great stay-at-home mother. She made homemade breads and fudge that were always delicious and in great demand. She could make a meal out of nothing and won many blue ribbons at the State Fair for her jams, Zucchini Bread and floral arrangements. Mom's only regret later in life was giving up bowling. She was an excellent bowler and brought home many trophies. Mom leaves behind her 5 children Douglas (Jeannette), Janet, Gary (Sharon), Karen (Jim) and Craig (Kathy), as well as 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and her brother Steve (Mary) of Midland Texas and his family. A memorial for mom will be held at 10:30am on October 17th, 2009 at Sherwood Forest Church, 5570 Olinda Road, El Sobrante CA.
