I have many fond memories of Disco , he was a good guy and one of the best Marines I ever met . I was with him In Wounded Warrior BN and knew he previously. I will never forget his voice lol He was a character and a lot of fun to be around. We were good friends.

Miss you bro! I remember our times in MP school and at Quantico. I wish to this day that we could of talk more at Quantico about the similarities we shared besides being Marines. You always know that your impact and love by others show when you get updated posts from friends, family, and your Marine brotherhood.

You were like my little brother from another mother, and not a day goes by that I don't think about you. When I need to feel happy, I just mentally go back to the long nights we spent on patrol wishing we were anywhere but there. I can honestly say I would give anything to go back to that. Dear Dicochea Family,
Our family is saddened to hear of your loss. We remember Steve as a fun, sweet, outgoing, loving kid. He used to let Nick join in the basketball games out on the street even though he was much younger than everyone else. Nick remembers going to the globetrotters and A's games with Steve.
One cannot imagine your pain right now, but we are upholding you in our prayers and thankful for the life he gave.

It seems like only yesterday the kids were running around the neighborhood. Boys vs. girls. The girls always won! Then, time moved on.....Steven's beautiful service really made me realize how the time passes us by so quickly. I am happy for all of you that Steven chose his own path and has left a legacy of which you can be so proud of. I know I am proud to say that I, once, knew Steven Dicochea, Jr..

We grew up just down the street from each other, and I always remember your energy and passion to make other people laugh. My fondest memory of you was when we were at your house for you and Stephanie's birthday. Steph gave me a hug after she opened my present and, for the first time, I heard you say "aww, what a Kodak Moment!" It sounds silly that that is the memory that sticks out the most to me, but it's one I'll never forget and it makes me smile!
Thank you for defending your country, for defending your family, and your friends, and always keeping positive. You'll be dearly, dearly missed.

Disco was a great marine with a one in a kind personality you could never forget! he always made me laugh and even though i didnt know him that well he served 2 tours in Iraq with my husband and got transfered to VA with us as well. Steven, how the years passed by so fast. I can still remember you being this cute lil boy that used to run around with us when you came to our house. The time flew by and we all grew up. I have always been so proud to be your cousin. You took a rough road that many of us would not want to take. It takes alot of courage to do what you did. I salute you. My Dear Cousin Steven, why God decided to take you first we don't know.. but you will be deeply missed by the entire family. You were taken from us so fast it was a shock to all of us and we still can't believe it. But we know that you will be watching us from up above. Another Angel to keep us from harms way. We know you're in a better place and you are no longer suffering so that helps us a little but we still miss you so much. I was saddened to see the passing of Steven, I will always remember him as a polite and respectful young man. He was a pleasure to coach and it was a joy to see him run the bases. "Lay down a bunt Steven and beat it out" and he would. My condolences to his family.
