For over 50 years Steve has been, and still is, my brother by another mother. Both of us had fathers who came out of the "Greatest Generation" and who had the greatest influence and impact on who we were. By the Grace of Almighty God, I was married to his sister Chris. As his brother-in-law I had the privilege of watching Steve dedicate himself to being the best father, son, and brother that he knew how to be. Father is where pancakes came in. He lived for making Jon and Dan breakfast in bed. He was so proud of who Jen, his beautiful, professional daughter, became. His occupation as CPA, tax accountant, fiduciary, was important to him because it is how he could make a living for his family. It became joy for when it gave him the opportunity to help VA veterans, others, and when he needed to become his mother´s Guardian of the Estate. As a storyteller he put together his dad´s World War II story, fragged navigator flight cap, Distinguished Flying Cross, and all. He and Chris were able to put together the story of their mom´s genealogy research into a memory book that Mom took into memory care with her. The last time that he visited with her it was what he used for over two hours to sit and talk with her. I love you and look forward to spending eternity with you and your sisters brother.

Stev and I were fraternity brothers in the late '60's and kept in contact for awhile afterwords. Then life happened and we lost contact until about 2000 when he found me and Mike Luss on the internet and contacted both of us. We would get together periodically in Las Vegas after that for several years. Steve is already very missed by us and we will remember our Vegas getogthers forever. My heart got goes out to Linda and Steve's entire family on this this great loss.

When Steven and I were in high school, and then again as roommates while in College we shared some amazing times and adventures. We once went hunting up at what is now called Pine Valley Ranch Park, near Pine Colorado. As we waited for the sun to come up Steven Spotted some large shapes out in the big meadow. We were tempted to start our hunt early but together we agreed to follow the law and wait till the sun was up over the observatory hill. Thank God we did that as when the sun gave us the proper light we saw my 4 horses out in the pasture. Steven and I often laughed together about that. Today I called the telephone number I have for him only to find it was disconnected and on checking google i sadly discover my best friend Steven has moved on to his next adventure. May the fishing in heaven is better than what we discovered on our great rocky mountain fishing trip my best friend.
