Vickie Bradley Obituary

Vickie Lynn Bradley A resident of Walnut Creek since 1991, died among her loved ones on Monday Jan 23. She had waged a long and courageous battle against Leukemia, but was ultimately succumbed by its many complications. She didn't let her illness rule her life as she spent the past year doing what she loved, spending time with her family and friends, attending sporting events, and traveling with her husband. Vickie was born in Rapid City, SD, January 11, 1957. She grew up and lived her early years in South Dakota where she met the love of her life and soul mate, her husband Dave. She was married in 1980 and moved to California to start an exciting new life and family. Family and children were always key to Vickie's life. She spent most of her quality time with her two children Scott and Jennifer. Room Mom, Softball Coach, Van Driver, and Head Cheerleader were her occupations of choice for many years as she focused on spending family time. Beside her own two children, she spent many years in the Mt. Diablo and Walnut Creek School Districts. Her main focus was with the Special Needs Resource students as a Resource Paraprofessional and Resource Assistant. She was so loving and kind and wanted to focus on those who she felt needed extra help. Vickie is survived, loved, and remembered by her husband of 25 years Dave, her son Scott and Daughter Jennifer, Parents Herb and Sharie Wolff, Brothers Steve (Sherrill) Wolff and Jason (Debbie) Wolff. Also providing loving support are her in-laws Allan and Celia Bradley, Sister Peggy Arrington, and Brother Charles (Tina) Bradley. Vickie, we all love you so much and will miss you forever. You are truly the most outstanding and caring person we know. You have been our love, our light, and our best friend. Rest in Peace. A viewing is planned for Thursday evening 1/26 at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel with a Memorial Service scheduled for Friday 1/27 10:00 am. at St Matthews Lutheran Church, 399 Wiget Lane Walnut Creek. A memorial of remembrance has been established.

Dave, Scott and Jen,

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I was glad I was able to get up to the viewing on Thursday night. I heard that the service Friday (so sorry I couldn't get there) was very nice and admire your abilities to get up and talk about Vicki. Must have been hard but done for love of Vicki.

Dave, Scott, Jen

Our lives have crossed paths so many times and in so many ways. Vickie was such a wonderful person it is hard to imagine how you will deal with her not being around. However, after seeing and hearing you at the service yesterday I am confident that together you all will do just fine, just like Vickie would want. The love you have for her will last forever. The thoughts we have of Vickie will give us fond memories for the rest of our lives. Through Dave, I am thankful for the chance to know Vickie. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. If you need anything I am here for you all.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of a Vickie. It has been 30 years since I've seen Vickie- when we were seniors a SHS. Even so, I still remember her as a warm, caring and friendly person who always wore a smile and never talked bad about anyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

We will always remember her smiling face whenever we think of Vicky. Dave and I may have had to stand down the right field line but Win or Lose and whether our boys had a good game or not did not matter, she knew what was important. We will remember all the great times we had together. The boys, Karen, and I send our prayers. You know how we feel

My sincere condolences to Dave, Scott, Jennifer and all of Vickie's dear family. I knew Vickie as a friend and co-worker at the Walnut Creek School District where she lit up the office with her beautiful smile and cheery disposition. She was a rare gem, an inspiring and courageous woman, whose departure from this life leaves a hole that can never be filled. May she rest in peace.
