Donald Swaim Obituary

Donald Swaim, 60, of Portales, NM died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at St. Anthony Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Muffley Funeral Home Chapel, 1430 Thornton, with Pastor Larry Mote officiating.
Donald was born February 23, 1953, to Albert Bradford and Edith (Carlisle) Swaim in Floyd, NM. He worked for Averrit Express Trucking Company as a truck driver. Donald enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Survivors include his son, Cody (Wendy) Swaim of Clovis, NM, and Tim Swaim of Portales, NM; three brothers, W.G. (Dixie) Swaim of Buffalo, WY, David Edgar Swaim of Tatum, NM, and Jerry (Cheryl) Swaim of Buffalo, WY; a sister, Mona (Orval) Bethany of Midland, TX; four grandchildren, Cody Swaim, Carl Cade Stovall, Gilbert Swaim, and Samuel Swaim; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Edith; a brother, Dale Swaim; a sister, Alta Marie Swaim; nephew, Kevin Walker; and two great-nieces, Jessica Dawin Pearson, and Heather Murie Pearson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Muffley Funeral Home and High Plains
