Jack Pierce Obituary
Jack Pierce was born on July 28, 1932, in Clovis, NM, to Fred Pierce and Lois McComas Pierce. On February 27, 1951, he married Janet Donahey in Clovis, NM. Jack worked as a Farmer/Rancher the longest. He co-owned Portales Livestock Auction and Quality Sales Pawn Shop in Portales, and worked at Southern Union Gas Company for 21 years. Jack was a member of the Curry County 42 League, on the board and time keeper for the Jr Rodeo Association, and coached little league baseball and basketball.
Survivors include: his wife; Janet Pierce of the home, 2 sons; Terry (Gwen) Pierce of Clovis, NM, and Donny (Linda) Pierce from Odessa, TX, a daughter-in-law; Pam Pierce of Edgewood, TX, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren, and 2 Great great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: his parents Fred and Lois Pierce, 2 sons; Bobby Pierce and Billy Pierce, a sister; Patsy Covington, and a mother-in-law; Lorene Martin.

Jack was such a sweet person who helped me so much when I worked at Quality Sales. I had my first child, Kayleigh when I worked there. My resources were very meager and I was very young. Jack and his wife Janet always believed in me and were very kind to me. I will always have strong feelings of affection for both of them! Some people make the world more special, and Jack was one of those people!
