Kaylene Wooley

1943 - 2025

Kaylene Wooley, Our beloved mother, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 and went to rest "high on that mountain" in heaven and is with Dad!
Kaylene was born on December 13, 1943, to Bill and Jackie Hurley. She married Billy Clyde Wooley on February 1965 in Portales, NM. Kaylene enjoyed reading, talking to her many close friends on the phone, gambling for fun, and working with her hands.
She worked as a job coach until her final days and worked with a young man named Tony, whom she loved dearly and truly enjoyed her job.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and their staff, Sam, Candy, Makayla, and Brianna for the wonderful and outstanding care of our mom.
Survivors include her daughters; Lisa Pierce (Chris) of Clovis, NM, Rachel Lopez (Dennis) of Portales, NM, her son; Jared Wooley of Clovis, NM, and sister; Ganeen White of Nocona, TX, six grandchildren; Crystal, DJ (Mandi), Megan and Brooke Lopez, Bode and Shaylee Wooley, five great grandchildren; Ty, Chanelle, Myia, Austin, and Kinsey, niece; Tamra Pittman (John) and nephew; Jeff Southern.
Kaylene is preceded in death by her husband; Billy Wooley, father, and mother; Bill and Jackie Hurley.
Our dearly loved husband and father passed away in 2010. Our parents requested no funeral service for they enjoyed happiness (no sadness). We had the best parents in the world! Their children would like to celebrate their life on Saturday December 13, 2025, from 11:00am – 4:00pm at the Women's Club at 309 W 1st street in Portales, NM 88130.
