Lillian Morris Obituary

Lillian Imogene Morris, 75 of Round Rock Texas passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Lillian was born on April 13, 1946, to Warren and Gene (Wilhoit) Marshall in Portales, New Mexico. She completed her education in the Portales public schools. She was heavily involved in the 4-H Club that was led by her mother. While working a 4-H Club booth at the Roosevelt County Fair, Lillian met the love of her life Daniel Morris, an Air Force airman stationed at Cannon AFB in Clovis. Daniel and Lillian were married on April 4, 1966. Lillian was a devoted military wife. She loved the adventures of traveling the world. She also loved the lifelong friends she made along the way. If you were her friend, you were family.
Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and niece. Family was everything to her. She was very proud of her husband, Dan and her three daughters, Pam, Cathy, and Jannette as well as her son-in-law Mark. She was extremely proud of her two granddaughters, Ciara, and Rhianna. These two girls were her world; she attended every event throughout their lives from soccer to volleyball to school plays to award ceremonies. She loved celebrating them.
Lillian loved her church family, which was an extensive family because she was very involved in every church they attended where military life took them. Lillian served as church secretary at Lackland Terrace church of Christ in San Antonio for 24 years. She loved teaching children to know and love the Lord. Baking was her love language. She loved cooking and baking for everyone whether it was for a shower, a youth function, a funeral, Vacation Bible School, or just opening her home to share a meal. In Georgetown, she loved her church "card ladies". They brought so much joy and friendship to her. Lillian truly loved the Lord.
Lillian is survived by her husband of 55 years, Daniel Morris; daughters, Pam Morris of San Antonio, Texas, and Cathy (Mark) Garcia of Round Rock, Texas; granddaughters Ciara Garcia and Rhianna Garcia; brothers, Ernie (Carolyn) Marshall of Portales, New Mexico; Guy (Debbie) Marshall of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; John (Brenda) Marshall of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; sister, Mary (Gorden) Faircloth of Clovis, New Mexico; as well as many other family and friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Warren, and Gene Marshall; her daughter, Jannette Morris.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 Pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Ramsey Funeral Home. 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633.

Dan, Pam, and Cathy,
I have sweet memories of Lillian and your family in Bitburg. Lillian was such an encouragement to the women and young moms of the church, and a gracious hostess whenever you opened your home to us and the families there. Wow, almost 40 years ago when I left Germany, seems more like just a few years ago. And all these years we've all lived in Texas, but never saw one another.

Can you just imagine Jannette's sweet reunion with her mother! I bet she volunteered to introduce her Mama to Jesus herself!

May God surround each of you with His love and comfort and beautiful memories of this beautiful woman, during these days of loss.
