Melba Conner Obituary

In the early morning of June 1, 2012, Melba Ann Conner entered heaven and was met by her Savior. Born and raised in Portales, NM, Melba had spent most of her life in Greenville, TX. Although battling Crohn's Disease, Melba made the best of her life by serving in her church, Ridgecrest Baptist, working at Mary of Puddin' Hill, and enjoying the wonderful company of her many friends, "The Girls"; they know who they are!
June 1st, 2012, was also the anniversary of her more than 50 years with her husband, Jimmy Lee Conner. Both Melba and Jimmy have served their church and community in many ways.
Melba also leaves her loving family of a brother, Johnny R. Isbell (Becky), El Dorado, AR, and their children, Matthew Isbell (Alise), Houston, TX, Amanda Isbell, Little Rock, AR, Melissa McKinnon (Brent), Hebron, KY, and Melody Martin (Christian), Green Bay, WI. The six Isbell grandchildren have many good memories of special times spent with Melba and Jimmy. A memorial service will be held at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville, TX with Frank Morgan officiating, on Saturday, June 9, at 2 o'clock PM, where friends and family will honor and celebrate Melba's wonderful life.
Memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 6801 Wesley St., Greenville, TX, 75402. Melba's heart was with the children's and women's ministries there.
LYNCH Funeral Service of Greenville is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at lynchfuneralservice.com.
