It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. Mike (Mikey) Urioste passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Muffley Funeral Home, 1430 Thornton Street, Clovis, New Mexico. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 108 North Davis Street, Clovis. Father Michael Niemczak will be officiating a Mass of the Resurrection immediately following the Rosary at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow the service at Mission Garden of Memories, 2900 West Seventh Street, Clovis.
Pallbearers are Gabriel Chavez, Mike Clapp, Cipriano Martinez, Manuel Torres, Eriq Clapp, Taye Urioste, Jordin Urioste, Christian Urioste, and Alex Urioste. Honorary Pallbearers are Fabian Martinez, Nathan Sandoval, Matthew Madrid, Zane Urioste, Jace Urioste, Daniel Torres, Izayah Lucas Torres, Mark Harris, Nate Sandoval, and Joe Sandoval.
Mikey was born November 4, 1952, in Clovis, NM to Severo and Victoriana Urioste. He married his wife Patsy Moreno in 1971. Mikey worked at Cargill and in the meat packing business for over 40 years. His number one priority was his family. He enjoyed taking pictures with his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed hunting, watching car shows and westerns as well as listening to Spanish music and shooting pool. Mikey also loved volunteering, especially at church functions.
Mikey was preceded in death by his parents; Severo and Victoriana Urioste, his sisters; Sarah Garcia, Mary Chavez, Helen Montes, his brothers; Mario Urioste and Johnny Urioste, his sons; Jose Urioste and Mark Moreno, and two grandbabies; Victorious and Baby Michael.
Survivors include: his wife; Patsy Urioste, his children; Janett (Mike), Michael (Chas), Stevie (Manuel), Monica and Roberta (Nathan), his sisters; Sis Nelson (Vic), Bobbie (Luciano), his grandchildren; T'aira, Eriq (Vanessa), Jordin, Taye (Alena), Zane, Christian, Alex, Jace, Daniel, Ava, Lucas, Mark, Six, Ramon, Regina, Nate, Joe, Faith, Sofia, Mariah, his Great-grandson; Elijah and many nephews and nieces.
