Paula Lynn Hill

1956 - 2022

Paula Lynn Hill of Paris, TN, passed away on December 29, 2022. She was born on March 24, 1956, to Walter J. Hill and Lucille Hill in Portales, NM. She attended school in Portales and graduated from Portales High School in 1974.
Throughout the years, Paula worked at her father's grocery store and then at Doc's Drive
In. She also helped at the New Mexico Christian Children's home, where her parents were house
parents for one of the cottages.
Despite health issues, Paula was involved in the church, especially teaching Sunday School to young children. She would often build elaborate dioramas and art decorations for them. Over the years, many children would come and give her hugs after church services and tell them how much she meant to them.
Five years ago, she moved to Paris, TN where she continued to attend church, teach Sunday school, and do arts and crafts. Two years ago, her health required that she check into
assisted living. Everyone there talked about her mischievous nature, silly jokes, and how she loved to wear silly hats, t-shirts, and turquoise jewelry.
Paula was preceded by her parents, Walter and Lucille. She is survived by her son and grandchildren. Paula asked that she be cremated, and a tree planted in her honor.
