John Collins Obituary

John Parker Wardsworth Collins passed away on Nov. 1, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1943, the son of Russell P. and Lizzie (Alexander) Collins in Jefferson County, Fla. John was a brilliant Diesel Mechanic, professional Truck Driver, expert Heavy Machinery Operator, and Landscape Designer. He was an outdoorsman who pursued many interests in life.
John is survived by his children and grandchildren, Karl Collins, Sr. (Karl Jr., Imani Celyne, Kori Sada', Kobe Tre'), Angela Collins (Brittany, Johnathan), Robin Collins, Sheree Collins, and Philip Payne; siblings, Russell Collins, Muriel Collins, and Louiza Collins-Larry.
The family is deeply thankful for the compassionate care given by the TMH 3rd Floor team and Big Bend Hospice. John wanted to thank Juanita Crumity. We extend an extra special thank you to Rico Watkins who spent quality time taking great care of John.
John was a very decisive person who held hard to his beliefs. He believed life should be LIVED. He did not want a formal memorial service; his departure and cremation will be private. The family thanks you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Angela,
I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I have heard many funny stories about your father and wish I had a chance to meet him. I recall the funny story about your Dad's reaction to you about the "big-bad" spider. I hope these funny stories and memories provide comfort to you during this painful time. May the Lord grant you peace and comfort at this time.
Love,
Marcia
