Thomas Kisamore Obituary

Thomas E. "Tom" Kisamore, age 61, gained his angel wings and entered into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Tom never met a stranger. He loved his family and loved the Lord. Tom loved his wife of 40 years and was the best example of a loving father to his two girls. His pride and joy were his girls and his family.
Tom had a vast knowledge of dirt work, land clearing and operating heavy equipment. He loved to play on the "Big Yellow Toys." He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting and fishing. He loved to work on his trucks in the backyard, garden and his citrus trees. He found peace being outside in God's creation. He leaves behind so many cherished memories full of love and laughter.
Tom was employed by Allen Excavating in Tallahassee, Fla., as a Heavy Equipment Operator / CDL Truck Driver. He also worked for the Jefferson County Road Department as Superintendent and the Jefferson County Correctional Institution as a Maintenance Superintendent, Correctional Officer, and Vocational Instructor, which he retired from in July 2024.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Jackson and Ann Kisamore; father-in-law, Franklin Yancey Kinsey; and brother-in-law, Franklin Edwin Kinsey.
Tom leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Carol; two daughters, Marsha Nicole "Nikki" Shiver (Anthony) of Boston, Ga., and Lisa Renee Chaney (Levi) of Panama City, Fla.; one grandchild, Daniel Shiver; brother, Jackson Eugene Kisamore (Ruth) of Rockhill, S. C.; mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Kinsey; sister-in-law, Joyce Kinsey (Wade); brother-in-law, Bill Kinsey (Ramona); two nephews; six nieces and four fur babies, Buddy, B.B., Hermie, and Squirt.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Beggs Funeral Home in Monticello, Fla., from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral Services will resume on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Central Baptist Church (625 Tindell Road, Monticello, Fla. 32344) beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kinsey Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at 6259 E. Washington St., Monticello, Fla., 32344, until the visitation on March 16, 2025.
