Richard was born in Lake Zurich, Ill., and lost his battle with cancer December 27, 2012.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne; three sisters, Julie, Lauren and Karen. Children: Michael, Caroline, Lucy and Billy. As well as five grandchildren and a new grandson due in April.
Retired from Foothill Fire Protection after 15 years of service. He was a brilliant architect, loved trips to Alaska and surfing, he was a man who lived his life well. A loving husband, father, brother, son and grandfather. Loved by all, he was a genuine friend. We will be forever grateful for his strength and love in fighting to give us one more Christmas year after year.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ Later Day Saints, 1255 Bell Rd., Auburn, CA 95603, January 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. We will also be gathering for a celebration of life for his Birthday March 9, 2013 3 p.m. at The Ranch.
