Our hearts are broken to share that Deborah Kay Lawrence, a longtime resident of Wilton, CA, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, after a valiant fight with breast cancer and leukemia. Surrounded by the unwavering love and support of her family during nearly three years of treatment, she departed with her beloved husband at her side. Her warmth, compassion, and light have left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her, and words cannot capture how deeply she will be missed.
Born on February 24, 1960, Deb was 64 years young. She met the love of her life in 1985, and together they created not just a house but a warm and nurturing home where their family flourished. Deb is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 36 years, her daughter, and her son. As a dedicated wife, mother, aunt, daughter, sister, friend, and a soon-to-be grandmother, she leaves behind a community of hearts forever touched by her presence. She is reunited in eternal rest with her mother, Kay, her first beloved fur baby, Beanie, and many other cherished loved ones.
Deb's commitment was evident in every facet of her life. She dedicated an impressive 42 years to her career at Bank of America before retiring at 61, but her true passion was her family. She had an extraordinary gift for making every occasion memorable-filling holidays and celebrations with artfully curated decorations, treasured family recipes, and traditions that will live on in our hearts and endure for generations.
Among Deb's happiest moments were summer camping adventures by the lake, magical family trips to Disneyland, and enthusiastically cheering on her beloved San Francisco Giants. A true Giants fanatic, Deb treasured her experiences attending spring training and often dreamed of making those trips a yearly retirement tradition.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and beautiful traits for her family: her daughter inherits Deb's sentimental heart and exceptional organizational skills; her son carries forward her artistic creativity and passion for baseball; and to her beloved husband, she leaves an everlasting love, profound gratitude, and two incredible children who adore him deeply.
In honoring Deb's memory, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity close to your heart, or to the
American Cancer Society or
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Deb's life profoundly touched all who knew her. Though she leaves a village of broken hearts behind, her memory will forever inspire love, warmth, and gratitude.
