Hubert Wisness Obituary
Born in Milaca, MN, he grew up in Underwood and graduated from Underwood High School in 1962.
Preceded in death by parents, Ada and Sigurd; sister, Arlys, son, Jamie.
Hubert is survived by wife of 56 years, LaVay; children, Scott (Renee) and Shannon; grandchildren, Casey (Stephanie), Christopher (Heather), Abigail (Luke) and Joshua; siblings, Marilyn (Ralph), Verda (Ed) and Sidney (Diane); brother-in-law, Lewis; and many nieces and nephews
Hubert served in the Army for a 2-year tour, he worked and volunteered and enjoyed all friendships he developed through life. He served as a deacon at the Elk River Baptist Church and leader for the youth programs. He loved anything that involved cars, tractors, snowmobiles and swap meets.
Hubert was very proud to have served in the Army and appreciated the people and everything that the VA in Minneapolis and St. Cloud was able to do for him in healthcare and all the support. The family would like to thank everyone that serves the veterans for the exceptional care that he received.
There will be a celebration of life on July 8th at 11:00am at The Elk River Baptist Church, 1800 8th Street NW, Elk River; visitation at 10 am, memorial service at 11 am, followed by a luncheon.
