Roger Loren Obituary
Born November 16, 1944, Roger graduated from Forest Lake High School and explored many job opportunities through the years. Farming, Ford assembly line, volunteer fireman, truck driver, diesel mechanic and heavy equipment operator, to name a few. After retirement from WB Miller, Roger moved from Elk River, MN to Hackensack, MN where he became lawn mower extraordinaire at Little Boy Resort in Longville, MN.
Roger truly enjoyed Up North living. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching football and hockey on tv, doting on his grandchildren and chatting with the locals. With his big heart, he was a friend and helping hand to many.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Barbara (Schnickels) Loren; parents, Richard and Glenice Loren; brother and sister-in-law, David and Cheryl Loren; sister, Linda Lattin; daughter, Michelle Loren and granddaughter, Janae Loren.
He is survived by his children, Troy (Nancy) Loren and Jackie (Matt) James; grandchildren, Bailey Bengtson, Dillon (Sara) Loren, Jordan (Robert) Sabey, Clay (Erika) Schlosser, Garrett (Carole Ann) James, Wyatt (Abbey) James, Kyle Schlosser and Gavin Schlosser; six great-grandchildren and his brother, Mike Loren.
A celebration of Roger's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Northwoods Bar & Grill, 8167 Viking Blvd NW, Nowthen, MN 55330 from 1pm to 4pm.
Please, no cards or memorials. In Roger's memory, please do something kind for someone else, even if it's a stranger.
