Andres "Andy" Bahena, 57, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Andres was the youngest of 13 children, born in Jojutla, Morelos, Mexico, on Oct. 2, 1964, to the late Evaristo Bahena Salgado and Rosa (Benitez) Rangel.
Andres was a quality control inspector for many local manufacturing companies including at KIK products, and general plant manager at TB Plastic Extrusions. He was a parishioner at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Andres had a love for upbeat music, which reflected the life he led.
Andres had an infectious laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a generous man with a big heart who touched a lot of people. Most of all, he was a loving family man and grandfather.
Andres is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Leticia of Elkhart; sons, Christopher J. (Cait) Bahena of West Lafayette and Kevin A. Bahena of Elkhart; grandchildren, Adrian, Cohen and Luca; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends for Andy will be at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, Indiana, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Father Glenn Kohrman officiating at the funeral home.
