Bernard Pletcher Obituary

Bernard L. Pletcher, 96, of Goshen, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born April 5, 1929, in Goshen to Leland S. and Edythe L. (Cuthbert) Pletcher.

On Dec. 24, 1949, he married Helen E. Myers. She died Dec. 10, 2019.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Lee Yoder, Goshen; two granddaughters, Heather Ann (James) Cameron and Gwen Eileen (Todd) Winne; three great-grandchildren, Sadie Marie Curtis-Cameron, Amelia Cameron and Clark Winne and a great-great-grandson, Ethan Carter Curtis-Cameron; and two brothers, Herbert and Donald Pletcher, both of Goshen.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Pletcher served from 1946 to 1954 being stationed in both Japan and the Philippines. He was a member of the American Legion, Middlebury and V.F.W., Goshen.

Bernard was an avid golfer and enjoyed sailing and building model airplanes. He also worked as a flight instructor at Goshen Airport.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m. at Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial donations may be given to Cornerstone Christian Fellowship
