Bonnie Sue Malcom, 74, of Plymouth, formerly of Elkhart, passed away at home after an illness on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 2, 1951, in Niles, Michigan, to the late Robert L. and Melba T. (Brewer) Clark. Also preceding her in death are three sisters and one brother.
Bonnie married Michael D. "Mike" Malcom on Dec. 16, 1967, in Elkhart. Mike survives along with two daughters, Laura (Paul) Bourdon of Bristol, Indiana, and Teresa (Michael) Rivers of Ooltewah, Tennessee; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Leona (Joe) Bowers of Terrell, Texas, and Anita (Raymond) Fox of Elkhart.
Bonnie and Mike lived in Ocala, Florida, for a number of years and while in Florida, she worked in accounting for Central Florida Community College until her retirement in 2017. She also earned her associate degree in accounting from Central Florida. Bonnie absolutely loved crafting! She especially enjoyed making her own greeting cards, T-shirts and coffee mugs.
Visitation for Bonnie will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hartzler- Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 1 p.m. service on Friday, Nov. 14, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery in Nappanee.
Memorial contributions in memory of Bonnie may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128-6804.
