David Morningstar Obituary
David (Dave) Morningstar, 71, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at River Oaks Healthcare Center, Burnham, Illinois.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1954, in Goshen, the first of three sons, to Melvin and Helen (Wilson) Morningstar.
Dave graduated from Elkhart High School in 1971. He married Michael Ann on April 9, 2003, in South Bend and enjoyed 20 years together before her death.
He was a soft-spoken, kind-hearted person and enjoyed playing baseball, collecting baseball cards, playing chess, reading, walking outdoors, and spending time with his wife, brothers and their families.
Dave is survived by his brothers, Jim (Nancy) Morningstar and John Morningstar; two nephews, two nieces, four great-nephews, and five great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Cremation has been chosen, and his remains will be interred at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
