John Garberick Obituary
John Carl Garberick Sr., 66, of Sparks, Nevada, lost his decades long battle with multiple sclerosis on Nov. 1, 2025, at Renown Hospital in Reno, Nevada. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family.
John was born on June 11, 1959, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Joseph and Dorothy (Miller) Garberick. He was a graduate of Elkhart High School. John and his family moved to Sparks, Nevada, in 1998. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Lisa (Paul) Garberick; mother, Dorothy (Miller) Garberick; his sons, Chris Garberick (Ashly) and John Garberick Jr.; the loves of his life, his grandchildren, CJ and Emily; and his brother, Joseph (Susie) Garberick. John was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Garberick.
An open house for John's celebration of life will be held in Indiana on Dec. 20 between noon and 3 p.m. at 50960 Twilight Drive, Elkhart, IN 46514. John's father-in-law, Robert (Kathy) Paul, will be hosting. John always loved a party. This will be a casual event.
