Matthew (Matt) N. Hopman, born May 27, 1943, in Oterleek, North Holland, the Netherlands, passed away peacefully at his home in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Oct. 21, 2024. He was 81.
He was a successful business owner as a ServiceMaster franchisee and past president of the Jaycees in Elkhart, Indiana. Later the family moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, and established Copy King Printing, which today is owned by his sons.
Matt is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alana; sons, Matthew N. Hopman Jr. and Steven W. Hopman; brother Anthony P. Hopman (Ruth) of Lakeland. Florida, nieces and nephews Monique, Eric, Tony, Susan, Becky and Ron. He is also survived by his family of in-laws. Nick and Barb Allion of Tempe, Arizona, Tony and Lois Allion of Bloomdale, Ohio, Angie Allion and partner Sally Betz of Columbus, Ohio; and nieces and nephews Jon, Cary, Lisa, Alex & Holly.
Matt was predeceased by his parents, Anthony P. Hopman and Johanna Hopman, his brother Peter M. Hopman, sisters Trudi E. McCollum and Johanna Hopman, and niece Annette Weaver and nephew Ronald Hopman.
A celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date.

We were in the right place and the right time to make friends with the Hopmans in Jaycees and Jayshees. So many wonderful memories. Don and I always treasured our friendship though the miles separated us in later years. God Bless you.
