Melvin Eash Obituary
Melvin E. Eash, 90, of Goshen, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, surrounded by family at his home.
He was born Sep. 3, 1934, in Goshen to Enos and Mary (Hershberger) Eash.
On Nov. 9, 1955, he married Clara Christner in Goshen.
She survives along with three children, Ron Eash, North Webster, Steven Eash, Goshen and Judy (Justin) Dirks, Middlebury; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katie Bontrager, Goshen.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Linda Brown and Anita Thacker; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Eash; brothers, Levi and Ray Eash; and a sister, Ruby Miller.
Melvin was an active member of Abundant Life Church, Goshen. He worked as a long haul truck driver for many years. He enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing or cutting wood. Mel could also be found at Peddler's Village looking for treasures in his free time.
Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, also at the funeral home. Pastor Tom Leitch will officiate.
Burial will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial gifts can be directed to Abundant Life Church designated for the youth of the church.
