Pamala Faye Garber

Pamala Faye Garber, 81, of Goshen, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at Waterford Crossing in Goshen.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1944, in Goshen, to Robert and Freda (Pence) Bunger. She married Michael R. Garber on Oct. 27, 1962, at St. Mark's Methodist Church in Goshen.

Surviving are her husband, Michael R. Garber; daughter, Monica M. Solina of Goshen; three granddaughters, Sondra Faye Garber of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Skylar Elizabeth Garber and Sierra Rhea Garber, both of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and sister Susan Scheibenberger of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Brock R. Garber and son-in-law Rodney Solina.

Pamala, affectionately known as "Oma" (honoring her German heritage) by her three granddaughters, shared a rich life with her husband, Michael. Their journey included establishing homes in Indiana, Michigan and Tennessee before eventually settling back in Goshen in recent years.

They shared a passion for travel, exploring destinations in Europe, and relaxing in their favorite Florida spots, Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel/Captiva, Florida. Pamala was also a gifted interior decorator; her meticulous eye for detail ensured that their home was a beautifully adorned and welcoming space.

Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, is assisting the family. In accordance with Pamala's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services, but there will be a Celebration of Life for Pamala in the spring. Online condolences may be sent at www.rrefh.com.
