Peggy L. Prugh, 91, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at Creekside Village in Mishawaka.
Peggy was born on Nov. 11, 1930, in Elkhart, to the late Kenneth and Nina T. (Galinet) Yeater. In addition to her parents, an infant son, Robert Kenneth Prugh, two brothers, Cecil and Ron Yeater, and her longtime companion, Bob Havlish, preceded her in death.
Peggy graduated in 1948 from Elkhart High School. She worked as a secretary and administrative assistant for many area businesses and retired from Geocel Corp. Peggy loved Bobby Vinton and had seen him over 187 times in concert. As they were traveling all around the country to see Bobby, they enjoyed going to the casinos and went on a trip throughout Europe. She will also be missed by her kitty Muffin.
Peg is survived by her son, David (Sue) Prugh; loving daughter Jennifer Nash; six grandchildren; and her sister, travel companion and best friend, Barbara Elliott, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a contribution in Peg's name, she suggested the Beacon Health Foundation or the Elkhart County Humane Society.
Per Peggy's wishes, cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
