Robert "Rob" Marshall Fidler, 56, of South Bend, died in his sleep of natural causes on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022.
Rob was born Aug. 25, 1965, in Wichita, Kansas. He spent most of his childhood years growing up in Listowel, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Northridge High School in Middlebury in 1983 and attended Ball State University.
He spent most of his adult life living in the Elkhart/South Bend area working in construction and in the recreational vehicle industry.
Rob loved music, and played in a band with some high school friends. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, having lived several years in New Orleans.
Rob is survived by his parents, Robert "Bob" and Billie Fidler, as well as his sisters, Angie Schuyler and Melissa (Matt) Harnish, and his brother, Scott (Angie) Fidler. Rob had two nieces and four nephews. Rob was not married, and had no children of his own.
A private service for his family is planned for a later date.
