Suzann Nance Laughlin, 87, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital.
Suzann was born on Nov. 12, 1937, in Brazil, Indiana, to Edmond and Alyce (Durkin) Nance. She married the love of her life, James (Jim) Thomas Laughlin, on Nov. 27, 1958, in Brazil, Indiana. They had been married for 62 years when Jim passed in 2020.
Suzann is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim; her parents; son Timothy; son-in-law Corey Lawrence; grandson Aaron Moreillon; granddaughter Bridgid; two brothers, Edmond and James; and sister Janet Burget.
Suzann is survived by her brother, Richard; children, Christopher (Colleen), Kevin (Melissa), Colleen Lawrence, Kathleen Moreillon and Maureen (Mike) Campbell; daughter-in-law Jill Laughlin; 25 grandchildren along with spouses/special friends; and 15 great-grandchildren plus two on the way.
Suzann was a wonderful homemaker. Along with keeping six children in line, she was very active in Four Arts, Tri Kappa and Pinewood PTA. She loved her Bridge Group ladies, her Tuesday evening dinner friends and many of her children's friends.
Suzann and Jim were both very active in their children's and grandchildren's lives, often traveling to babysit and help. They both often called just to see what was going on and to make sure they knew they loved them. They both loved and cherished their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leaving them with a lifetime of happy and loving memories.
Suzann was a member of St. Mary's of the Annunciation Church in Bristol. Jim and Suzann elected to be cremated and have a funeral together.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim and Suzann will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 411 W. Vistula St., Bristol, IN 46507, with Father Bob Van Kempen officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday as well from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour before the Mass.
A private burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
