Wayne O. Christner, 88, of Middlebury, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, after a brief illness. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at First United Methodist Church, 720 S. Main St., Middlebury.

Wayne played fast pitch with my husband, Gary Cook, and I always remembered his beautiful bass voice singing. He loved having get-togethers with his fellow ball players and wives. So many wonderful memories of Wayne, and he will be missed by all.
