JONESVILLE — Mrs. Janie Marie Webster Wilmoth, 83, of Jonesville, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born Jan. 23, 1935, in Wilkes County to James and Caroline Cothren Webster. Mrs. Wilmoth was a lifelong member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and a retired supervisor from Central Telephone Company with 43 years of service. She had a love for cooking and travelling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, James Craig Wilmoth, Mark Eller Wilmoth; and grandson, James Martin. Survivors include her husband, Bill P. Wilmoth of the home; daughter, Kathy W. Martin and husband Alan of Newton; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Wesley Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Mrs. Wilmoth's daughter-in-law, Kim Winters; and grandson, Jason Wilmoth, for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 211 Cedarbrook Road, Jonesville, NC 28642. Online condolences may be made to www.elkinfuneralservice.com.
