Max Gilliam Obituary

SPARTA — Mr. Max Grayson Gilliam, 74, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare in Sparta. He was born Dec. 2, 1943, in Surry County to Jackson Eugene and Flora Cockerham Gilliam. Mr. Gilliam was retired from Lexington Furniture. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Tucker Gilliam; brothers, Wayne Gilliam and Tony Gilliam. Survivors include his sister, Betty Kallam and husband Jim of Norfolk, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
