Winnie Cockerham Obituary

WINSTON-SALEM — Winnie Baum Cockerham, 58, passed away March 12, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1956. She is survived by her husband, Randy of the home; two sons, Scott and Jessica Schroeder, their six children (grandchildren), Lilliannah, Kaleb, Triston, Alexandria, Mackenzie, and Willow of Jonesville, and Charles and Jessica Schroeder, their three children (grandchildren), Kiersten, Madisyn, and Landen of Ottawa Lake, Michigan. She is also survived by a sister, Susan and Bob Riedesel of Ripley, New York; four brothers, Charles Baum, Jim and Deb Baum, Don and Judy Baum, also of Ripley, and Bill and Tammy Baum of Kentucky. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Wilda Baum of Ripley; and her brother, Bob of North Carolina. She loved her grandchildren, the beach, gardening, poetry, and the outdoors. Winnie was an amazing daughter, mother, sister, and friend, she had a passion for life and loved unconditionally. She always took the time to stop and "smell the roses." Memorial services are to be held Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Tanglewod Park in Clemmons from 1 to 3 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
