Dorothy Lee (Graves) Beetler, 92, passed from this life into the next as the LORD called her home on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the assisted living in Highland Village of Elko, Nevada where she spent the last 6 years of her life. She was born July 7, 1932 in Williamsfield, Illinois, the second daughter of Lawrence S. and Evelyn (Wolfe) Graves with one living grandparent James Samuel Wolfe. She married Robert (Bob) Henry Beetler on June 1, 1963 also in Williamsfield. They were married for 56 years until his death in 2019. Dorothy is survived by one son Joseph (Rhonda) Beetler of Spring Creek, Nevada. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Miriam Beetler, Englewood, CO; Andrew (Sami) Beetler, Spring Creek, NV; Esther (Stephen) White, Arvada, CO; and two great-grandchildren, William White, Arvada; and Malachi Beetler, Spring Creek. Dorothy also is survived by sisters, Louise (James, prev. Holland Beetler, dec.) Harris; Nancy (Neil) Keneipp, and brother, Jim (Joyce) Graves. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Sam (Jane) Graves, Juanita Graves, Joe (Ruby, liv.) Graves, Larry (Mary Ann) Graves, Lawrence Carroll (Marian, liv.) Graves; one grandson, Jacob Beetler, and one great-granddaughter, Elodie White.
Dorothy earned a B.A. in Art from McMurray Women's College and used it in teaching in schools as well as creative crafts in ministry as a pastor's wife. She lived in Oregon for nearly 40 years as a pastor's wife. In 2003, she and Bob retired and moved to Battle Mountain, NV to be closer to the grandchildren while still enjoying a rural lifestyle with a garden. She was always concerned about sharing her Christian faith with others and loved singing praises to and about her LORD. Proverbs 31:30 "Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised."
A Homegoing Celebration and Memorial service will be held at Ruby Mountain Bible Church, 475 Diamondback Drive, in Spring Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025. There will also be a graveside service at the Battle Mountain City Cemetery on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

Dorothy was the kindest and sweetest person. She and Bob were neighbors to my grandmother in Chiloquin, Oregon. They were always so helpful to her and did have a ministry for the school age children in the area. A beautiful soul now with her Lord and Savior.
