Jody M. Weiler

Jody Weiler

March 25, 1969 – January 6, 2021

On Tuesday, January 6th, Jody was taken from us too soon. Jody was a great person who was always full of love for her family and she will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was kind, loving and caring no matter what life threw at her. Through all the ups and downs of life, she was always able to keep her head up and stay positive. She did not live the easiest life and had been through a lot, but her optimism never wavered, even when she was tested.

In December of 2000, she married Nathan, the love of her life, who she would spend the next 20 years being crazy about. Things were not always perfect, but you could always count on them to be there if you needed anything. They had lots of adventures over the years and she was always looking forward to the next one. When life got hard, they both knew that they could look to the other to get through anything.

Jody was also an amazing mom to her boys. She had so much love in her heart and wanted her boys to know how much they meant to her. She worked 2 jobs to support her and her boys before she met Nathan. There was nothing in the world that she wouldn't do for her family. She loved cooking dinners and inviting the family over to celebrate or just to be together. The thing that Jody was most proud of was being a grandparent. She loved taking care of her grandson Keston whenever she could. She would take him on dirt roads to teach him to drive and tell stories. She loved spoiling him with whatever he could want and did not have the ability to say no to Kes. She took such good care of him and he loved spending his days with her.

There is no way that an entire life of love and happiness could be summed up in an obituary and there are not enough words to relate how much she meant to her family. Jody was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mom, and grandma. She loved all of us and was the one that we could call with anything and she would be there to help. Jody is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Nathan Weiler; her son, Robert and grandson, Keston; parents, Mike and Kari McDermott; sister, Julie (Chris) Zeiler; brother, Jaime (Debbie) Elliott and their kids; aunt and uncle, Steve and Linda McDermott and aunt, Paula Hornbarger.
