Karen Ferreira Obituary

Karen K Ferreira went home to be with her Lord and Savior and the many she has loved and lost along the way on May 14th, 2024. She was born in Rigby, Idaho on November 17, 1949, to the late Oscar and Dawna Jardine. Her family lived in Wells, NV where Karen grew up before moving to Elko, NV and spent most of her life. She graduated in 1967 from Wells High School where she was described as outgoing and fun to be around. Karen spent many years working in Telecommunications at the Elko phone company, CP National until she retired in 2001.

Karen was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin to many. She will be deeply missed by her family and the numerous friends she made throughout her life. Her kind heart, good nature, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, infant brother and sister, and her grandson Wyatt Darling. She is survived by her brother Jerry Jardine, sister-in-law Elaine Jardine, son David Avera, daughters Malissa Melton and Marcie Phillips, her nieces, nephews, and a host of beloved cousins. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

I have known Karen since school in Wells, NV. She was a couple of years younger than me. We remained acquaintances after I moved from Wells to Elko. So sorry about her passing. God Bless!
