Lois Marie Sargent
November 4, 1937 - November 12, 2023
ELKO - Lois Sargent, 86, of Elko, Nevada, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023.
Lois was born in Globe, Arizona and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She moved to Casper, Wyoming with her young family and completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English. She spent the last 30 years in Elko, Nevada with her husband Ron who passed away in 2012. Lois was a loving mother and wife and an inspiring artist and poet. To say that she was an avid book reader would be an understatement!
She was was predeceased by her son Bart, husband Ron, and grandson Cody, and left behind her sons Bert (Diane), Brett (Mylisa), and Brad (Deanna), brothers Lawrence (Edith) and Gary (Patti), grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in Casper, WY at a location to be determined, over Memorial Day Weekend 2024.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Mybrary (Elko County Library), 720 Court Street, Elko, NV 89801. Proceeds will be used to purchase books, wIth Lois' and the donor's names inside the cover.
