Marjorie (Marge) E. Adams, of Elko, Nevada graduated to heaven from her home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, after living with heart failure for a number of years.

She participated in 4-H, Campfire Girls and Girl Scouts. She also took violin and piano lessons. Marge was Valedictorian of her 8th grade class. At 14 she wrote a poem titled, My Mother, that was selected to be published in the National Poetry Anthology. Marge worked evenings as a Nurses Aid until graduating in 1948 from high school in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Marge entered nurses training at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson after graduation earning her Registered Nurse license in 1951. As an RN, she worked in hospitals, doctor's offices, private duty and Home Health in the states of Kansas, Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois and Nevada. Marge helped open the first Oncology unit in Northern Nevada at Washoe Medical, currently known as Renown. After retirement, Marge trained to become a Parish Nurse. She volunteered in that position for ten years. She also volunteered with a community ambulance service and as a church camp nurse. Marge's nursing career spanned over 60 years. At 82 Marge let her RN license go inactive so she could care fulltime for her husband who was living with Alzheimer's.
While a junior in high school, Marge met the "love of her life", Charles (Chuck) Adams. After a 4 year courtship they were married on June 10, 1951 in Pratt, Kansas. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2016. Their union was blessed with the birth of two daughters, Stephanie and Joelene. Marge and Chuck opened their hearts and home to many others who came to call them Mom and Papa-Daddy plus Oma and Opa.
