Stephen Perry Williams passed away on 3 February 2022 at Henderson Hospital. He was born 15 September 1948 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Perry Henry Williams and Ruby Nell Childers. He was raised in Texas, Alaska, and Tennessee, the second oldest of 5 children.

He attended MTSU, graduating with a degree in Chemistry before joining the Air force in 1970, becoming a C-130 pilot with the 17th Airlift Squadron at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK. He loved to tell stories of rugged backcountry landing strips and landing the C-130 on skis in Greenland.

Steve married Willena Kay Wilson on 17 May 1975 in Huntington, UT. After leaving the Air Force, they stayed in Alaska and lived in Eagle River and Soldotna as they welcomed their three children, Dustin, Kayte, and David. He worked on the oil platforms in Cook Inlet, did finance work in Utah and Idaho, and finally ended up in Elko, NV where he worked for Barrick Goldstrike for 22 years. Steve and Kay moved to Henderson, NV in 2012 after he retired due to his failing health.

His health started to decline in 2004 when he had a stroke, and he had many more obstacles to overcome in the past 18 years. He was a fighter and did what he could to spend just a little more time with his family.

Steve was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he loved to worship, do missionary work, and serve on the High Council with 3 different Stake Presidents in Elko. His favorite calling was being a home teacher and was also an ordinance worker at the Las Vegas Temple. At one time he was home teacher to 13 families and had to have 3 companions. His service to others touched many lives.

He loved woodworking and spent months last year making one final gift for family and friends. He was notorious for having garage sales where Caylee and Courtney could sell cookies to put a few dollars in their pockets. He wanted each of his grandchildren to know how much they meant to him. He spent many hours putting together hundreds of jigsaw puzzles while spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was bass fishing, and he shared that love with each of his grandkids. He said many times that the orneriest Dad made the best Grandpa.

He is survived by his wife Kay, his son Stephen Dustin Williams with girlfriend Shannon Kelley, grandson Corey Mitchell Williams, granddaughters Courtney Kay Williams and Caylee Ann Williams, all of Boulder City, NV, his daughter Kayte Williams of South Carolina, his son David Perry Williams with wife Katrina, grandsons Memphis Ryan Williams, Hayde Michael Williams, and Cooper K Williams all of Jenks, OK, his sister Janice Bush of Lebanon, TN, brother Jerry Ray Williams (Deloris), and sister Mary Kay Perkins (Jim) all of Murfreesboro TN. There was a wonderful reunion with those who preceded him in death, including his deceased parents and brother, Timothy Jay Williams.

Visitation will be at the Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way #1, on the 7th of March 2022 at 12:00 pm. He will take a final ride on the boat with the grandkids from the mortuary to the cemetery. Services immediately follow and will start promptly at 1:20 pm at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV. We are planning a BBQ picnic at Veterans Memorial Park after the service for all to attend and enjoy some good times, sharing stories about Steve with each other.

The Veterans Cemetery limits the display of flowers during the service to a total of 3, which the family would like to provide.
