Oh my… where do I begin it's been 4 year after you death. I cry in the thought of you sometimes. I wonder what you think about. Aiyana? Do you still like Justin Bieber? I met him I wanted to meet him because of you. I've moved from El Paso after your death my last day there I went to your grave and cried. I was scared. I wondered why you had to die, why you had to leave us all. I remember at your candle light series I saw you dad and I imediatley started to cry he hugged me and said we had to be strong monkeys. Later that night your grandma sang the lalabey she sang you to sleep with. I miss you girly. Not to long ago like last week my mom had a dream she said you were talking to her. I wish I could she you again. I hope you know that I call you my best friend. I love you ??

I didnt know you, your family, nor your extended family and yet I have been deeply touched and even more so inspired by You. You are so loved and truly missed. I stumbled across your video on the TeamBliss Track & Field website and I was instantly moved. I know you're blessing the Heavens with your amazing gifts. I just wanted to send love and support, from one tracky to another (smiley face), parent to another parent, friend to friend.

I didn't know Aiyana but I came to know of her because of an ALL BLISS bulletin sent out post wide on Fort Bliss to inform the community of the funeral and the viewing. At that time I looked her up and read her story on KVIA - a local news channel here in El Paso. I was deeply moved and touched by your daughter's story and my heart goes out to the family. I am a mother and I can't begin to imagine that type of grief. I pray that you allow God to carry you through this time. He CAN and WILL keep you. She sounded like she was a beautiful Angel who blessed the lives of many while she was here on this earth. My prayers will continue to be with you all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the family of Aiyana Hanson,
Thank you for sharing her with the world. She was always a joy to be around and one of the happiest little girls. During track season, like most of the kids, she always had her moments when she wanted to play and not work hard. But in the end, she always did what was asked of her. She was also a great big sister, looking after her brother while her dad was busy coaching the team. Cris and Sonia, you did good. Now she is in God's care and doesn't have to suffer anymore. Take comfort in knowing that, while you only had her for a little while, you had the best of her. Thank you for chosing to share her with all of us. She will forever be in our hearts and memories. GOD bless each of you....

While we have only been on your team for one season, you have greatly touched our lives.
Thank you for sharing Aiyana with us, and thank you for being the amazing people that you are.
The April Famlly
Here are two poems the girls wrote yesterday:
I run and remember you
When I run it will make me remember you.
You are special and your heart lives on.
No matter what it will always run on in our memory.
Brenna April (Age 7) in memory of teammate Aiyana Hanson
I run with you
When I run and I feel the wind
I know you’re right beside me.
And, when I win, I know
that you win, that inside me,
you give me the power to do it.
And, when I am older and I
am in the Olympics, I will feel the same wind
And I will know you are right beside me.
And when I win that golden medal,
I will know that you did it…you did it!
