Chris, you were my brother Leonard Lujan's friend at Eastwood high school class of 1983', you'd come to our house on Fir Street all the time..even after high school we'd all have parties on Riff Raff and Pole Road in the desert! So even after high school we'd (my brother and I) would run into you on occassion. We'd see you firefighting, at Whataburger on the northeast side of town where we now live... ect.
You are a great guy and we will certainly miss you awfully....Rest in Peace my friend..
Liz Lujan, (Elizabeth) EHS, class of 1981 and my brother Leonard Lujan class of 1983.

Known Chris Hayes for quite a while met him when he was a suitcaser and later spent a little over 6 years working with him side by side at 24's quite a crew we had there during my tenure. It was never a dull moment for sure. Chris was one of those guys who always had a good story when we came back from our days off. I visited last Sunday evening at the hospital and was telling Chris's mom how he told us the story of his moving adventure when he loaded up his truck and trailer and moved her to Kentucky. Now if you all know Chris he was good at improvising and he improvised until the truck and trailer were completely full !
