Very sad to find this. I was searching my old memories on the web. He was the company commander of my basic training unit at Fort Ord California in October of 1963. He was young Captain Patton then. A great man who, as I see went on for a wonderful career in the Armed Forces of this great Country.

My dear husband David: through time and space your memory and your presence will always be in my heart and mind. I will remember our life together filled with wonderful memories of our love and our joyful times together. I will remember your sweet scent, your laugh, your elegant figure, your smile and all those little things that I love about you. We will walk together again the path of life. We will walk again among the gardenias and the red and white roses. I thank the Great Spirit, the Maker of All Things for allowing my life to be graced with your presence; for allowing me to have you all these years; for you making me feel as if I were the most important being in the universe, for allowing me to be present at the Beginning of Your Journey. Te amare siempre. Nimitstlasojtla... senka nimitstlailnamiki... Elvira

To my Cousin David memories, I always enjoyed playing at your home as a little boy and when you bought the hot rod, I knew you were so 'awesome.' Sorry the latter years never allowed us to cross paths again. God Bless your family now.
