Fernando Ledesma Obituary


Fernando "Nano" Ledesma entered God's Kingdom surrounded by family and friends on Friday, January 30, 2009. He was born on March 4, 1929 in Socorro, TX to the late Enrique and Maximina Ledesma. He joins his brother Tello and sister Paula Flores in heaven. On October 29, 1948 Fernando began a 60 year lifetime commitment of love when he married Isabel. Fernie dedicated 36 years of his life to El Paso Water Utilities. Nano loved to travel and enjoyed God's creation. Fernie owned a concrete business, enjoyed boxing and yard work. Fernie is survived by his loving and devoted wife Isabel; children: Isabel (Alex), Rick (Beatriz), Fernando (Elsa), Ernie (Barbara), Lydia (John), Helen, Rudy (Ruth), Robert (Rosie), Annie (Louie), and Irene (Leo); sisters: Herlinda Martinez, Carmen Galindo, and Berta Guerra; Brothers: Ramon, Henry and Mike. His legacy of family pride and strong work ethic continue on with his children, 44 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Come and joi n in his Homecoming Celebration on Monday, February 2 from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. with prayer service starting at 6:00 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 3, at 10:00 A.M. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
