Gilbert was a sweet, kind and gentle soul who always had a beautiful smile for everyone! Not to mention a joke or a "Ha!" too. John and I had some great memories with you and Eddie. I was so lucky to have been around during that time. I will miss you my friend! Thank you for being my friend and sharing some time with my John and me. My sincere condolences to The Pineda family. God Bless you all!

Gilbert was one of the best bass players I ever played with. He would always look over at me and say "turn it into Jazz" in the middle of a song. Always upbeat and happy, never negative. A true loss to the music community of EP. You will be missed, buddy. Rest in Peace.

I cant say enough about Gilbert as everyone has many memories about his character, love of music, his many friends and especially his family. Gilbert was not only a great musician, but also a great friend! The times we shared on stage, or just hanging out with good friends, are some of my most cherished memories. Gilbert was a friend that was always there for you if you needed a helping hand, and never asked for anything in return. His smile, laughter and awesome sense of humor, are just a few of the great things about him that will surely be missed. My condolences and deepest sympathies to Eddie, Toby and all of Gilbert's family. May God embrace this good man and welcome him home!

It was always a pleasure to visit the boys and watch them have a blast on stage. I have many fond memories of the Midland/Odessa days where we got to spend time together. Gilbert will be missed.

We will miss you so much,but will always remember that smile and your always charming personality. I will always love you,the time we spent together not only having Gil Jr. but the fun and the laughter and the tears. I was so proud of you as well as your son was also.
